Still Here!!
Yep, despite the lack of a blog for a few days I am still here and constantly on the lookout for valuable information to share with you which might get overlooked by the “Mass Media”. Things like, ”Why is it that the Leader of the Liberal democrats, Sir MENZIES Campbell, as in the huge High Street Shop with a similar name John Menzies, called anything but that. He is referred to as Ming or Minges or even as once heard Minging?? WHY???? Doesn’t he like his name or what??? Seems rather crazy to me, what do you think?
Here’s another good one too for all you Fellow Computer Nerds like myself who spend far too long sat in front of that pretty little screen. Where in the world will you find the fastest wireless network/internet connection? Well, I guess there are the obvious places like the home of the chip and I don’t mean the fried kind either although I have managed to do just that a few times over the years, Japan. Maybe it’s in Bill Gates; back yard, The United States although he seems to be not there very much these days choosing to spend most of it in far flung tropical destinations. Neither of which are remotely close. It is, of all places
They have the ability also to solve a few issues with lack of teachers. There is one teacher based in one location who then wirelessly teaches 3 different schools miles and miles apart in “Real Time”. Even including interactive White Boards in the schools etc it’s all pretty inspiring stuff.
I urge you to take a look at what good can come out of the Web/Internet etc instead of what seems to be a constant negative press that everyone is out to scam you and steal your identity and its all going to end in tears.
Okay I’m off to make the first Bacon Sarnie of the weekend and most definitely not the last one either.
See Ya!!

Ubuntu is supposed to be one of 'THE' Linux ditributions and is very popular (It was developed by Martin Shuttleworth, a South African entreprenour who founded Thawte, the security people.
As you will have seen from the trials and tribulations, I use Linux for my webserver computer - now Fedora - and again free! In fact all the software on that machine was freeware from the OS, database, and blogging software - and its brilliant!
Just be3en looking at the Cancer Giggles site - first time in some months. I was sad to see that Cass - to paraphrase the words of the last poster (Kim) - decided he needed the stimulus of a higher plane rather than mere mortals and joined them on January 6yh. A brave man.
It is a real shame about Cass. he has been such an inspiration to me over these last few years and I know has certainly given it his best shot. he has a remarkably strong family and friends who i know will miss his wit and charismatic charm terribly. One thing is certain and that is that he would have fought till the end alright. As you say a very brave man indeed.
I might dig out the Ubuntu "Breezy Badger" copy I have here and reload it on one of the putes to have a play with again too.
See Ya!!
John - don't be put off! My computer problems were caused because I was upgrading! If you do a clean install of Fedora 6, it would be really easy - the database, webserver and PHP are all prepackaged - you just outo install them and they work! (You do need to configure them, but that itsn't difficult!) And installing Wordpress is a breeze!
If ypu do decide to have a go, let me know! (I am running about 5 blogs and a web site on my little computer - and the photogalleries!)
